Description

The SFF-8088 is a 26-pin Mini SAS connector with a metal housing compatible with shielded external connections, designed to enable Mini SAS external interconnect solutions, with typical applications being SAS links between SAS HBAs and SAS drive subsystems. Widely used in data communication applications such as servers, rackmount servers, workstations, RAID standalone redundant disk arrays, and more.

The SFF-8482 is a 29-pin SAS connector with a plastic body interface configured with 15 pins to support drive power requirements. It is mainly used on SAS 4i arrays as an internal SAS connector cable and supports 12Gbps transfer rate. Ideal for devices such as servers, storage devices, hard disks, hard disk carriers and SSDs.
The SFF-8088 to 4*SFF8482 cable provides an internal Computer connection between a serially connected SCSI controller card host and a directly connected storage hard disk drive.
